Nothing! This is a volunteer network. It is free to sign up and we operate free of charge. It does not cost clubs or organisations anything to partner with us either.

We take safeguarding and wellbeing very seriously and are fully DBS checked and verified. We only partner with clubs and organisations who have demonstrated full safeguarding and DBS checks themselves. Where placements take place, we regularly check that these are in safe environments.In addition, a named parent/guardian must be provided when joining us; their consent must also be obtained.

We envision that we are mostly suitable for 13-18 year olds. This is the age where most young persons start to identify their interests and skills; think Duke of Edinburgh but basketball!

Yes! There is no age limit and we are here to support anyone who is keen on exploring opportunities within basketball. Basketball needs more volunteers!

Yes! PickEnrol is for everyone, whether you are a keen basketball player or just have an interest in basketball, please get in touch and let us know what opportunities you are interested in exploring. We can also signpost you to suitable environments to start playing in if you want!

The primary focus of PickEnrol is to provide opportunities where you can experience a range of roles across basketball, shadowing these to see if you enjoy them. If a club wants to pay you for your volunteering/shadowing work, they are welcome to do so, but this must be discussed beforehand with PickEnrol.

When young persons sign up, we keep the information on file so that we can identify any suitable opportunities throughout the season. We protect the information we keep, only sharing it with clubs when there is consent to do so. The organisations we partner with do the same.
